Other Details to Note

Important (Please Read)! We do NOT accept check in or check out on holidays. Absolutely NO open fires are allowed. The risk of wildfire for the area is too high. The gas firepit out front is available when there is no fire ban. If there is a fire ban, the firepit will be removed. You will be asked to leave immediately if there is any fire activity. Pets We will allow pets who qualify. Please message us before booking for our pet policy to see if your pets qualify. Currently we only allow dogs. There is an additional fee for bringing a pet to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests. Please note the only way to the loft is the spiral staircase which is not safe for pets. When we have our pup there he sleeps in the lower level. The roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood bumpy! There is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand-new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows and doors, then close them during the day and you stay nice and cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin. We are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms including: Taking a day to rest when you arrive. Drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help). (The tap water is from natural spring water and is delicious and safe to drink.) Wear sunscreen, even when it is cool or cloudy. The spiral staircase is narrow and it can be challenging to cart large luggage up and down. We often keep our luggage on the main level. If you have children, please be extra careful around the staircase (it’s tempting to use it as a play gym, but can be very dangerous). This house is in a neighborhood. While it feels secluded from the front porch, our back-door neighbors are visible from the side and back of the house.

Amazing place! So peaceful and relaxing. The small touches really made it feel that much more cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub, stargazing and playing games by the fire. Was a perfect spot for my husband and I to get away! Would love to go back!

My girlfriend and I loved our stay here. The house and location were beautiful. Loved sitting under the stars in the hot tub, we even had some deer next to the hot tub the whole time. Would stay here again!

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful cabin in Colorado for a much-needed getaway before welcoming our little one—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The peaceful setting, fresh mountain air, and cozy atmosphere gave us exactly the kind of rest and connection we were hoping for during this special time in our lives. The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts of home. We especially appreciated the quiet and privacy—it gave us a chance to slow down, relax, and really soak in the moment. Mornings on the deck with coffee and evenings by the fireplace were simple but unforgettable. It felt like time stood still in the best way. The area was stunning, with beautiful scenic drives and gentle walks that were perfect for my pregnant wife. It truly felt like a safe, serene little haven. This trip meant a lot to us, and we left feeling grateful, refreshed, and full of anticipation for the next chapter of our lives. Highly recommend this spot to anyone.

This was such a beautiful AFrame that is surrounded by the golden yellow aspens. We stayed for our anniversary and this place did not disappoint. The wood burning stove heated up the home nicely since there was an issue with the heat. After I called the host Merlena she was quick to send out a heat technician to fix the issue. Overall this was an amazing stay and more beautiful in person! We will definitely be back!

Our stay in this cozy cabin was perfection. We wanted a little secluded place in the woods and it's exactly what we got. It's in a neighborhood and you can see one other home, but barely. The surroundings are gorgeous and it's easy to get to. The description and pictures are just what it was. Everything that we wanted or needed was right there. The local coffee was such a lovely touch along with a basket of welcome goodies. While most rental places have minimal cooking items, Marlena has the kitchen stocked with everything needed to cook nice meals including good cooking knives. I would say the only thing to be careful of before you book is the loft area. If you have mobility issues or use the bathroom a lot at night, this place is not for you. But if those aren't issues, the loft is so cozy. The bed was so comfortable that we had a hard time getting up each morning and are thinking about replacing our bed!! Marlena is super responsive and so lovely. I cannot recommend this cabin more.

This cabin was the perfect getaway for our honeymoon. It was peaceful and felt secluded while still being close enough to easily get to activities in nearby cities. So much thought was put into anything we could have needed or wanted while staying. Thanks for opening your home; we can't wait to come back!
