Entering the A-Frame, you’ll be greeted by a newly renovated and fully stocked kitchen designed for both comfort and functionality. Enjoy ample counter space for preparing meals, a Keurig, a French press, and a dedicated hot cocoa bar for those cozy mountain mornings. The kitchen features all new appliances, including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and more, ensuring everything you need for a convenient stay. Just to the right of the entryway, you’ll find the single bathroom with a custom barn door, a full bathtub and shower, and soft, aesthetic lighting that adds a spa-like touch. Continue into the cozy and spacious living room, where large windows fill the space with natural light and showcase beautiful views of the surrounding pine trees and rocky outcroppings. Snuggle up with a blanket and stream your favorite show on the smart TV or enjoy an assortment of board games for a relaxing night in. A spiral staircase leads to the lofted bedroom featuring a queen memory foam mattress and luxurious linens, offering the perfect retreat for a restful night’s sleep after a day of mountain adventures. Step outside onto the back deck to find comfortable outdoor seating, a gas fire pit, and a grill—an ideal spot for evening gatherings or quiet mornings surrounded by nature. Below the deck, hanging chairs invite you to unwind and gently sway as you take in the peaceful forest views. At the base of the deck stairs, you’ll discover the private hot tub, perfect for soaking beneath a star-filled sky. The A-Frame sits on six secluded acres filled with pine and aspen trees and rock formations, offering privacy, tranquility, and a true Colorado mountain experience.

Important (Please Read)! We do NOT accept check-in or check-out on holidays. Absolutely NO open fires are allowed. The risk of wildfire in the area is too high. The gas firepit out back is available when there is no fire ban. If there is a fire ban, the firepit will be removed. You will be asked to leave immediately if there is any fire activity. Pets This is a pet-friendly listing for pets who qualify. At this time we only allow dogs. Please message us before booking for our pet policy to see if your pups qualify. There is an additional fee for bringing your pup to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests. Please note the only way to the loft is the spiral staircase which is not safe for pups. When we have our pup there he sleeps on the lower level. The roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood are bumpy and the driveway is steep! There is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand-new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows and doors, then close them during the day and you stay nice and cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin. We are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms including: Taking a day to rest when you arrive. Drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help). (The tap water is from natural spring water and is delicious and safe to drink.) Wear sunscreen, even when it is cool or cloudy. The spiral staircase is narrow and it can be challenging to cart large luggage up and down. We often keep our luggage on the main level. If you have children, please be extra careful around the staircase (it’s tempting to use it as a play gym, but can be very dangerous). This house is in a neighborhood. While it feels secluded, we do have neighbors through the woods. Please be mindful of your noise.
