Other Details to Note

Cautionary Notes (Please Read)! We do NOT accept check-in or check-out on holidays. Absolutely NO open fires are allowed. The risk of wildfire in the area is too high. You will be asked to leave immediately if there is any fire activity. The roads require 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood are bumpy! Pets This is a pet-friendly listing for pets who qualify. At this time we only allow dogs at this house. Please message us before booking for our pup policy to see if your dogs qualify. There is an additional fee for bringing a pet to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests. There is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand-new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows at night, then close them during the day and you stay cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin. We are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms including, taking a day to rest when you arrive, drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help).

We fell in love with property the moment we entered the road to the house. The property is isolated from surrounding properties, and is located in a prime sundown watching area. The inside of the house is beyond cozy and it has such a charming feel to it. The indoor furnace and outdoor hot tub were wonderful compliments to the property as a while. There was a guide to the whole property, its amenities, and the surrounding area, which was incredibly informative. We only stayed for a one night get away, but we desperately wish we could have stayed longer. The property was close to Cripple Creek, but still far enough away from everything to where you feel fully immersed in the house. All in all, we had such an amazing stay and we will gladly stay here longer next time. Thank you so much for everything, Marlena! The whole experience was a 100/10!!!

The hot tub was a huge highlight—perfect for relaxing and soaking it all in. The cabin itself was super cute, clean, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a great getaway. Such a beautiful property! It was peaceful to sit out on the deck with some hot tea (provided by the host) and read my book. Not to mention sitting in the hot tub with the views was even more relaxing. I really enjoyed that robes and slide on shoes were provided for the hot tub. Definitely recommend!

10 out of 10. Place was exactly what you’re looking for if you’re trying to escape the city life and have private views to yourself or with your partner. Hot tub was amazing looking at the mountains. Deck was perfect. And wood burner to heat the place smelt so nice. Kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. Driveway was long enough to walk the pups. Aspens all around. Very quiet and private. And if you need a tv it also had that with all the streaming apps. WiFi worked great. The drive in wasn’t bad at all either. Well maintained roads.
